HOMETOWNS is a documentary series portraying six young people through the eyes of six young filmmakers (Catherine Dauphin, Lukas Grevis, Lucie Wahl, Akim Elouardi, Sirvan Marogy, Lara Mack) navigating the world and searching for their own paths. It explores their dreams and hopes after being forced to leave their homes. Yasmine, Borin, Omar, Badr, Jawid, and Rene share the experience of arriving in Luxembourg to seek refuge and build new lives. Each episode focuses on a moment in the protagonist’s life, their environment, their past, and their aspirations.

Hometowns was produced by the Centre national de l’audiovisuel (CNA) in collaboration with Luxembourg multi-LEARN Institute asbl .
